Inspired by Nirvana's Scentless Apprentice, Apprentice Perfumery extracts the essence of music into scent. Each fragrance is inspired by a different song, with notes that stem from both the lyrics and instrumentation. I took visual inspiration from one of my favorite stores in Chicago, Merz Apothecary. I created Apprentice Perfumery to combine my love for antique apothecary design and my love of rock and grunge music.
